For some reason, we can't switch. I can't retreat into headspace, and nobody else can come to front. Anyone have any idea of what's going on with this?

A million years ago when we had someone who functioned as a host, they originally weren't able to leave for more than a couple hours at a time. I'm not 100% sure what fixed it but basically it just took practice? I don't really know what else to advise or like how to tell you HOW to do it since I think it's a different process for everyone. Um, we have to close our eyes and basically "step back" to accomplish it? But our system is like a giant VR unit, kind of, in that we're interfacing with something to control the body. Not to say we can't feel what the body feels etc but that's the best comparison we have.

Pain meds make it really really hard for us to communicate with each other so that may also be affecting you, yeah. Though if it's an ongoing thing I guess I'd just say practice makes perfect? ^^;

That happens to us sometimes. The advice given about practice is what helped us a lot in the beginning, too. Having a focus point for the person who wants to switch forward is helpful for us when we're having trouble connecting or switching. (music they like, hobby they enjoy, even smells or food..) Anything that gets their attention and allows them to really connect with the front.

Jake and Mark and Edmund have specific music they really like and when they want to be out here but have trouble with it, we put that on and kind of just close our eyes and let whoever is at the front try to step back and really let them connect to that music. We have some people who like specific incense that we have, so we'll sometimes lay in bed with that burning if we really need a connection point for them, etc.
